Fused Magnesia Bricks are high-performance basic refractory materials made from high-purity magnesia with more than 90% MgO content, using periclase as the main crystalline phase. They are produced through processes of crushing, mixing, molding, high-temperature firing, and drying. With excellent refractoriness, high slag resistance, and strong thermal stability, fused magnesia bricks are widely used in steelmaking, non-ferrous metal smelting, cement, glass, and various high-temperature industrial furnaces.

Key Features

  • Excellent Slag Resistance – Strong resistance to alkaline slags (CaO, FeO), suitable for steelmaking and alkaline furnaces.

  • High Refractoriness – Withstands up to 2000℃, among the highest of refractory bricks.

  • Good Thermal Conductivity – Ensures stable furnace operation and energy efficiency.

  • High Load Softening Temperature – Between 1500–1550℃, maintaining structural strength under high load.

  • Durability – High cold crushing strength ensures long service life.

Typical Applications

  • Steelmaking alkaline furnaces (hearth, walls, permanent linings)

  • Oxygen converters and electric furnace linings

  • Non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces

  • Glass kiln regenerators and lattice bricks

  • High-temperature tunnel kilns

  • Rotary cement kilns and lime kilns
